The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the Sahel-Sahara Bank for Investment and Commerce “BSIC” signed today, Thursday 28 September 2017, at BADEA’s Headquarters in Khartoum a Agreement of Line of Credit of US $ 15 million, as part of BADEA’s program for financing Foreign Trade.

The Line of Credit will contribute to finance imports of Arab goods to African countries members of ECOWAS or CEMAC, to double its performance in trade finance.

As part of a series of exhibitions organized by the Sousse International Exhibition to Push the Troubled Development in Tunisia, the first session of the International Salon of Health will be held from October 4 to 7, 2017.

The province of Sousse, 140 km south of Tunis, has been selected for medical centers and pharmaceutical companies.

A delegation from African Risk Capacity (ARC), chaired by H.E. Mr. Mohamed Béavogui, Director General, visited the Headquarters of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), Thursday, 21 September 2017.

The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), organized a symposium on the Private Sector Participation in Africa’s Development: Challenges and opportunities at BADEA’s Headquarters in Khartoum on Monday, 18th September 2017 and attended by H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, Director General and the Experts of BADEA.

The objective of the symposium is to highlight the important role of the private sector in Africa’s development.

As part of cooperation between the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the different regional and International organizations, two delegations from UNIDO’s Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Bahrain and the World Free Zones Organization (World FZO), visited Monday 27th August, 2017, the Headquarters of BADEA in Khartoum.

As part of the cooperation between the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and the Islamic Development Bank Group, a four-day workshop on Islamic Finance completed today, Thursday, 27 July 2017, at BADEA’s Headquarters in Khartoum, and was conducted by Experts from Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), a member of Islamic Development Bank Group.

BADEA & IsDB Cooperation

A delegation from Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), visited the Headquarters of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), during the period 17 to 20 July 2017. The mission was headed by Dr. Intizar Hussain, Manager, Operations Policy and Compliance Division and comprised of Mr. Asad Javed Qazi- Lead Operations Policy Specialist and Mr. Bouzid Othman- Senior Operations Policy Specialist.
