BADEA wins Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Certificate of Merit

The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) has been awarded the “Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Certificate of Merit” for the year 2017, by the Lord Mayor of the city of Karlsruhe, Germany.

The certificate of merit is a recognition to BADEA’s efforts in financing the "Solar Hybird Electrification Project" in the Republic of Mali.

The Karlsruhe Sustainable Finance Award Ceremony was held in cooperation with the Global Sustainable Finance Conference in Germany on 13 July 2017.

Each year, the city of Karlsruhe is providing three prizes and several recognition certificates to Financial Institutions and Organizations that have successfully integrated the Sustainable Projects Financing process into their basic strategy.

The award was received by Dr. Tijani Najeh, Acting Director of Operations on behalf of H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, Director General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa.
