Cooperation between BADEA and the Republic of Guinea

Within the framework of cooperation between the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and sub-Saharan African countries, H.E. Mrs. Kanny Diallo, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, paid an official visit, today Monday, 6th of March 2017, to the BADEA’s Headquarters in Khartoum and met with the Director General H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould TAH.

Discussions revolved around current joint activities and future cooperation between the Republic of Guinea and BADEA in the different sectors and exploring means of promoting and developing such cooperation.

In this context the two parties signed a Letter of Understanding related to a support to the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation by providing services of an Arab Expert for two years.

By the end of December 2016, BADEA’s total assistance to the Republic of Guinea reached US $ 214 million to participate in financing 49 development operations.

The total Arab Financing Institutions aid to the Republic of Guinea, including BADEA's assistance, has reached US $ 1382 million until end of 2016.
