US$ 12.05 Millions from BADEA to Burkina Faso

The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), has signed a loan agreement worth US $ 12.05 million for the benefit of Burkina Faso. The agreement was signed during the official visit of H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, Director General of BADEA, to Burkina Faso that took place during the last month of January 2018.

The project, which is part of the national strategy for the development of higher education sector and scientific research, aims at carrying out a program of modernization and extension of national universities.

BADEA’s loan will assist in financing the constructing and equipping of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Research including Campus Housing at Kuoduoguo University project. The loan will provide school furniture, equipment and fixtures and the filling of the country's future needs of scientific cadres specialized in technical areas and human capacity development, which will contribute to poverty alleviation and sustainable economic development.

H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, Director General of BADEA ,signed for BADEA, while H.E. M. Hadizatou Rosine Coulibaly/SORI, Minister of Economy, Finance and Development signed for Burkina Faso.
