BADEA STRENGTHENS ITS COOPERATION WITH BURKINA FASO

H.E. Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, Director General of Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), launched a formal visit to Burkina Faso, last January 2018, and met the President of Burkina Roch Marc Christian Kaboré

In a four-day work visit to Burkina Faso, the Director-General of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA), Dr. Sidi Ould TAH, said that BADEA will strengthen cooperation with the West African country.

At the end of an interview with the President of Burkina Roch Marc Christian Kaboré, Dr. TAH highly praised the "remarkable" progress made by Burkina Faso, despite a difficult international and regional situation.

"We have listened to President Kaboré 's guidelines on ways and means of strengthening bilateral cooperation between BADEA and Burkina Faso, also on the prospects for this cooperation, especially on the priority sectors to which this cooperation should be directed, said the Director-General of BADEA.

He stressed that, BADEA will finance projects in several sectors such as: roads, water, support for microfinance, SMEs, women's Entrepreneurship and youth employment.

The Director-General of BADEA also announced the deployment of two new programmes for the benefit of Burkina Faso:  the External Trade Finance Program and the financing of private sector projects.
